On the weekends, a round of golf or an upbeat fitness class are both popular ways to start the day. “Restaurant Row” is a favorite place for locals to reward themselves afterward, or just celebrate the end of a long work week. A few nationally recognized steakhouses and seafood restaurants are popular options, along with unique, locally run eateries offering a wide selection of tasty dishes. Shopping sprees, spa days, and manicures are also favorite ways for locals to pass the time and enjoy life as it should be.

Sandy Lake Road is the main communal thoroughfare of Dr. Phillips. Lined with both widely known and locally loved eateries and shops, it is a central meeting point to gather, celebrate and toast to the good life.
Many delicious, well known establishments can be found along Dr. Phillips’ “Restaurant Row,” such as Ruth’s Chris, Eddie V’s, and The Melting Pot, but one community specific favorite can be found at The Whiskey. This all American hangout features a full bar including 100 whiskey options, 150 scotches, and nearly 200 different bourbons. Their expansive drink selection pairs well with revamped favorites like fried mushrooms, bangin’ shrimp, and gourmet burgers.
One of Dr. Phillips’ best spots to pamper yourself and truly enjoy a carefree day is Allora Day Spa. This elegant day spa specializes in luxurious treatments for the face and body such as scrubs, peels, and massages. Allora is open seven days a week to offer its visitors peace, tranquility, and some time away from the stressors of the outside world.
The Marketplace at Phillips and Bellagio Town Center is heavily concentrated with trendy and popular boutiques. Like the nearby restaurants, patrons will recognize many nationally known brands and appreciate smaller, locally owned businesses, bakeries, florists, pet shops, and cigar clubs.
Things To Do
One of scenic central Florida’s most popular pastimes is golfing on one of their many professional level courses. The Orange Tree Golf Club is one of Orlando’s favorite courses, conveniently located right within Dr. Phillips. Their 18 hole championship course is challenging, yet relaxing, in addition to their putting and driving ranges. Other nearby clubs include Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club & Lodge, a private club and hotel situated on sparkling Lake Tibet.

- Dr. Phillips Elementary School, prekindergarten to 5th grade; DPES is a several time award winning campus for their excellent volunteerism rates and state test scores
- Southwest Middle School, grades 6 to 8; students are offered the opportunity to learn French or Spanish as high school credits
- Dr. Phillips High School, grades 9 to12; many specialized programs are offered to students like advanced placement courses, career academies, dual enrollment, tech prep, and a magnet arts program
